The closing night movie! Grandma is a fun little film, full of rather pertinent little questions and fun interactions.
Lily Tomlin steals the show as Elle, the sassy diva Grandma. She is a very fun character and I enjoy her snarky responses to the world around her.
Tomlin is the only real original thing in his movie. She single handedly carries the entire movie. Her beating up the boyfriend is a personal favorite for me.
The whole concept of a lesbian grandmother trying to get money for her granddaughter's abortion is going to be really hard for the film to overcome. It's a controversial movie hidden in a comedy.
