Virgin Mountain
Some movies are slow, some are cripplingly slow. Well I'll just say that Virgin mountain somehow pulls it off. It's a plodding character study but for some reason it just flew right by.
This movie is slow, no way to really get around that, if you have a main character who hardly says a word it's tough to make the film fast paced or even dialogue paced. This was Fusi watching as things happened around him, but even though that sounds terribly boring, it worked.
Fusi himself is an interesting character, quiet, shy, introverted, but likable all the same. Seeing the world through this eyes was quite interesting, it's not often you see a character like him carry a whole movie.
I Rather enjoyed this movie, it's slow and quiet but a nice little gem of a film. One I'll recommend to most people but warn them not to expect much, it's a small movie, and that's just perfect.
