Only Lovers Left Alive
That being said. It's a really interesting movie. Where the pacing cripples the film, the Acting and script completely make up for it. Tilda Swinton and Tom Hiddleston are great as Eve and Adam, Two ancient Vampires sick of the current world.
I was fascinated by the way the characters are portrayed. Calling the humans 'zombies' was a fun little choice. Constantly referencing their pasts was fascinating, and a little pretentious at times. I found myself wanting to learn more and more about them. They're a brilliant couple of characters.
Besides them I really liked Anton Yelchin as the Human Familiar. I liked the energy he brought to a fully energyless movie. Mia Wasikowska was a good foil for Hiddleston and Swinton, again bringing more energy to the film. All together The cast was very solid.
I loved the fact that it was in Detroit. It was really funny to see them driving around and pointing out all these places I've been to. nice to see a movie do Detroit Right.
Overall I really enjoyed the movie, but it is ungodly slow. if you have a short attention span, steer far away from this.
