Second review of the night!
THis time it's the liam neeson action flick, Run all night. Prepare for an even small and less important review. why? Because this one isn't that amazing.
Movie Review: Run All Night
Review:
Where do I start with this one? I saw it a couple weeks ago. I barely remember it.
I mean, i remember it just fine, but the normal little details I'd pick on or really get bothered by are gone. This one was just completely forgettable and run of the Mill. I love liam neeson and the movie gains some Badass points for having him. But otherwise this movie is basically just a B movie.
Neeson plays yet another troubled bodyguard like character with a set of skills and a person to protect by killing people. He played that perfectly in Taken (the first one) but, every single movie he's done since has used the exact same character traits. It just feels like yet another rehash of a trope he's already done numerous times. Although, with that said, he's easily the best part of this movie.
Joel Kinneman was decent as the son. I Like him. He hasn't been in a whole lot since the Killing. (Besides the lackluster Robocop remake) Nevertheless I like him. he's a solid actor.
Ed Harris is ed Harris. He's a terrifying villain so it's a no brainer to put him in this.
The Movie was filled with just about every cliche in the book. I mean, Taken 1 felt original, but every single Movie he's made since is just a carbon copy of the last. I can't wait for him to make some good new concept movies. like where he's a bodyguard. protecting someone who needs protecting. for some reason.
Final Verdict: 48
Liam neeson, and cliche's up the wazoo.
This has a nice story, but not great. The action scenes, however, were fun to watch.
