Hey Followers!
Happy December everyone! I've been busy this past week eating turkey and hanging out with family. Sorry yet again about being a bad blogger and forgetting to post. Don't worry I'm prepping a few things for the next couple weeks so expect this to pick up again.
Anyway as I mentioned, thanksgiving was the past week. I went over to Lansing to spend the holiday with my family. It was a pretty nice laid back time for me. Most of it was just hanging around with the cousins but Both Thursday and Friday nights I got to fully show my potential for moderating!
On Thursday night I was the sole moderator for a 20 person Ultimate Werewolf game. I know theres some weird hatred for Ultimate werewolf rolling around but I love the game. It's an absolutely brilliant party game that I discovered a few years ago and I've been fascinated by it since. Lately I've realized I can never actually 'play' the game because I'm always moderating it, but that's OK.
I love the feeling of control I have when I'm letting the story unfold. It's really fun to see some people's schemes and how other are trying to manipulate others to gain the favor of the mob.
I may be getting ahead of myself. I should probably give a quick overview of what this Werewolf game is all about. Well, Werewolf is a hidden role game. Meaning each person gets a card with a role on it. In the base game it's either Villager, Seer or Werewolf. The villagers and the Seer are good and the werewolf is Evil.
On the first night the Moderator (me) wakes up the werewolves (usually 4 or 5 for a 20 person game) and they all meet each other. This is the evil team. their goal is to kill everyone else in the town.
The moderator then has them go back to sleep and wakes up the Seer. The Seer gets to pic one person every night and finds out if they are a Villager (thumbs down) or a Werewolf (thumbs up). then they go back to sleep.
They all wake up on the dawn of day one to find that their town is being overrun by werewolves. This is where it gets fun. Everyone in the city has to decide on someone to Lynch. think Salem Witch trials. Usually this ends up as people just baselessly pointing at people for absolutely no reason. but you can usually deduce who the seer is or maybe a couple of the Werewolves. after all the bitching and moaning and accusing I lock in the votes. the person with the most votes is killed by the mob and eliminated from the game.
The town is then hit with a paralyzing case of Narcolepsy and falls asleep. the werewolves wake up again and this time they kill someone. then the Seer picks again and the cycle starts over until there are no Werewolves left or the werewolves outnumber the Villagers.
the game is a lot of fun and I'm extremely pleased with myself that I could get 20 complete newbies to play this game. I look forward to bringing more and more roles into the game as time goes on.
Anyway we played that on Thursday night and Friday night. both times the games went very smoothly. Not really sure what I was originally gonna do with this post but like so many of my posts I got sidetracked in the awesomeness of Werewolf
I guess I'll go over my plan for the next month or so. I've been looking forward to editing and posting a bunch of videos on my Youtube and my Comedy Group's Youtube so I'll be posting links to those soon. I have a bunch of videos planned I just have to get up to working on them. I also have a few Ideas for Lists and such for here including Top 10's and stuff.
So anyway If you actually make it through this rambling mess of a blog post let me know! I have a comment section down below and let me know what you'd like to see me do more of!
I'll be posting some reviews soon I have a few shows I have to backlog reviews for but for the most part I've just been unmotivated and bored. The problem with being a bored person.
Ok, this has gone on for quite a while. I'll be back later today with a List or something. Probably about Werewolf. so check back later!
