Hey!
What's this you say? a normal Non review post? Holy balls!
I'm ramping up for the 2014 Travers city Film Fest so I'm on a small mission to write a whole bunch of Film fest based posts.
But before I get into that I want to do a quick post updating how my life's going and what i've been up to for the last six months or so.
Where do I start?
Ah well, I haven't had a good solid feature film job in quite a long time. I think it's due to lack of motivation lately. I've also slumped in my Cosplay motivation as well.
I havent made a new costume since I did Gideon Graves around Midwest Media Expo. It's a bit sad really. With all my Cosplay friends moving away i've been basically just unmotivated to pursue the hobby. Damn You Meg, and Hannah, Move back! oh well. Anyway I'm probably going to do something big for Youmacon this year, so we'll see how that goes.
As far as filmwork goes I've been brought on for some then never hear from them again. I feel a bit lazy about film work, which is sad because I genuinely love it, but maybe i'm just not meant to make them. hmmph
The other big development is my involvement with an improvisational comedy Troupe. Theyre known as RPG comedy. I used to be part of the group a long time ago, but I rejoined them about a year ago. we've done a few improv shows over the year (not enough in my opinion but that's ok) and in less than a month we have a Murder Mystery show called Grimm Inc.
I've been very involved in grimm Inc. I was one of the Writers of it and over the course of the last year or so I've helped it turn into the show that it is now. I'm really looking forward to the show. Then again i'm a bit nervous, this'll be my first Murder Mystery i've been in. I won't say much, but if youre from the Detroit area Leave a comment and I can facilitate some Tickets for you!
So now onto the big thing, Film Fest! It starts on Tuesday and runs through to Next sunday. I'm really pumped for the festival this year. I'm seeing 24 (maybe 25) great movies and hopefully meeting a whole bunch of people.
I'm actually Pre Prepping all of my reviews ahead of time this year, going through and doing all the formatting and adding pictures a head of time, that way I can crank them all out in a a fast manner before my next movie.
Im also going to be posting a few lists and such leading up to the premiere of the first movie.
Anyway I just got summoned to a game night, so, off I venture to play games with some peoples! it's been nice just writing randomness like this for a change. maybe I'll continue the trend over the next week and get back into the swing.
