Movie Review: Magic in the Moonlight

Bonjour!

Ok, not really...it's set in France so close enough!

This is a quick review, I'm a bit fatigued and feeling ya little lazy. The depression is hitting a bit so yeah, review!

Next Up: The One I Love

Movie Review: Magic in the Moonlight

Review:
Woody Allen always makes enjoyable films. He does a good job of balancing comedy and drama. This is classic woody Allen and being such I never once believed Emma stone was actually a psychic. Woody Allen makes realistic dramas, not supernatural dramas. So that was a red herring I never fell for

I really liked Colin Firth and Emma Stone, they were both pretty good. Emma stone was her normal bubbly self and Colin Firth was basically an eloquent and pessimistic version of his character from King's Speech. Enjoyable but nothing new.

One big problem I had was that I never believed the supernatural elements. So for most of the movie they insist on saying she was real but it always felt fake.

I enjoyed the magician parts and I wish they focused more on that. But I'm fine with the way they went.

I enjoyed the movie, but it dragged in the last act.

FINAL VERDICT: 75

Now in the theatre for my final movie. Then sleep!
