Good Morning world!
I say good Morning, yet i havent slept, and yet i'm wide awake. huh.
well I decided to turn on Bling Ring at like 7 AM, just ended and now it's time for REVIEW!!!
Pros:
I like the overall storyline of the movie. It's a kind of movie that could have been such a cool heist type film. otherwise I like the Cast, even though Emma Watson seemed a bit out of place. I like that most of the cast were unknowns. they did a pretty good job, especially the main girl Rebecca, I thought she nailed the part with very minimal scripting.
I loved the idea of robbing Paris Hilton. just saying.
Cons:
There wasn't any real urgency or threat to the Group. they just waltz into places and steal stuff then walk out. Dont these big stars have any kind of security systems? I mean they have cameras but no locks on the doors? they just walk right in.
Do Celebs really leave giant wads of cash lying around? like inside their rolex cases? or in their random purse in the middle of the collection? it just felt like the story needed more conflict. it was just all so level headed and plain. and when the shyte does eventually hit the fan it just felt like there was no real emotional impact, it just felt lackluster all the way through.
I'll watch Spring Breakers soon and Compare them, apparently theyre similar.
FINAL VERDICT: 36
Good idea, poorly executed
So I love Lost in Translation, but Sofia Copolla needs to upgrade her style
