Wow.

Well it's all over. The best Show on TV is over.

I'm having a tough time coming up words for this review. I usually try to come up with a balanced review with both pros and cons, yet I can barely think of any cons right now

Well, I guess I wont waste any more times, There are Tons and Tons of SPOILERS in this review because I cant even talk about the storylines without spoiling it for many people.

So BEWARE! MASSIVE SPOILERS AHEAD!

TV SEASON REVIEW: Breaking Bad, The Final Season
(yes I know that's a Season 4 Promo, but I love it so I dont care)
Writing:
Right out of the gate I have to say that this is hands down the Best written show I have ever watched. It started slow and progressively better and better as the show went on. leading up to one of the best finales I've ever seen.

My hat (It's a black fedora) is off to Vince Gilligan.

Yes, that's Vince Gilligan!..and me

He made me care about a lowly Chemistry teacher from Albuquerque. all the way through his Rise to power and ultimately his Downfall in the final 8 episodes. I was a season late to the game, I didnt get into the movie until the second season but I was hooked ever sense. I looked forward to the episodes every week. and I was never disappointed by an episode, especially the final 8 episodes. They were a perfect example of how a continuing story TV show can be amazing. I would love to see someone try making a story like this in a movie. This is the perfect example of how a TV show can be more engrossing than a movie series.

The Final Episodes:
Lets get down to the specifics of the final episodes. It starts with Hank finally connecting the dots, and the beginning of his Obsession was very well handled. I loved how he hesitated going to the DEA, he slowly developed the case, getting Jesse to testify and bringing in Gomez up until he Manipulated Huell, (wheeze) and ultimately Walt. leading him out into the desert for the final shootout.

The 1st scene of the next episode after the Shootout was great. walt in handcuffs as Hank sits on the ground in front of the Nazi's. and Hank being smart enough to know that Jack wouldn't let him go. the line "You're the smartest man I know but you're too stupid to see he made up his mind ten minutes ago" It wraps up Hank's situation perfectly. He has tons of respect for Walt, but he wants to stop him. and after he dies the reaction by walt was one of the most agonizing scenes I have ever watched.

Skylar is one of my least favorite Characters i've ever had to watch, I found myself hating her for so much of the series, even to the point where I wanted her to die in the finale. yet when it got to the final few episodes I found myself wanting her and Walt Jr. (where did Flynn come from?) to live. and I loved the scene at the end of Ozymandias (the ep with Hank Dying). I loved how Walt finally called her out, even if it was just a ruse. that and her final scene with Walt were her best scenes in the series.

Flynn, the boy formerly known as Walt jr, was one of the few characters who was left out of the finale. he only had a fleeting scene as he's getting home from school. his best scenes were in 'Ozymandias' and the Penultimate episode. him defending his mom and calling the cops on walt and him Yelling 'why are you still alive?" are his best scenes. I'd be curious to see where the actor goes from here.

Jesse had the worst time out of everyone. I felt horrible for him throughout the last few seasons. he has gotten the royal shit kicked out of him and having him end up in chains and forced to work for Todd was gut wrenching. his dream of being a woodworker and him smiling at the box he made then the realization of him still being a tortured dog being forced to cook for todd was great. I was so happy with how he left. him not shooting walt, whether it was out of respect or because he realized it wasnt worth it, or maybe he noticed that walt protected him. I dont know, but his traumatizing arc was brilliant.

Ouch. That video really shows what kind of shit he's been through.

But no review of Breaking Bad isn't complete without giving a huge round of applause to Bryan Cranston. Hal from Malcolm in the middle, who the hell could have ever guessed that he could so evil, and make it so captivating, He is one of the best actors out there, and I for one would absolutely love him as Lex Luthor. But in all honesty, this show rode on his shoulders all the way and he never messed it up, He deserved Best actor for every single year.

Final Verdicts:
This show was absolutely fantastic. If you haven't watched it, do it, right now. (but I kinda just spoiled it, so, well, your loss. I have unbelievable respect for this show and It has been planted as my favorite show of all time, up with Lost, Firefly, Supernatural, Smallville, and Battlestar Galactica. yet this one is the only one that consistently surpassed my expectations. Amazing job

Cons:
Yes, I have a con. It's mostly just an excuse not to give this a perfect 100 (which i'm beginning to think i'll never give out). anyway my only con is in the form of a question. Are these last 8 episodes season 5.5 or 6? I've heard many different arguments for both and I know it's officially been labeled as both, but really, a year later and it's not season 6? Hank learning the truth is a damn good finale for a season, even a short season like that.

FINAL SCORE: 99
Hands down the best show I have ever watched, I will always recommend this and cannot think of a single thing I didn't like about this show. except Skylar, and Marie. and the Season 5.5/6 confusion. and the fact that it's over.

Anyway here's a bonus Picture..I made special ice cubes for today!

Yeah! It's blue!

.....Bitch.
