Project Movieball Tutorial (Post 10)

HELLO!

I'm back! to show you how to Assemble to individual pieces of the Movieball!

To Recap, there are 3 Different types of Pieces.

Tiles, I drew Movies on all of them,

Triangles, I Drew TV, Music, and Video Games on all of them.

Connectors, You never see in the final assembly.

120 Tiles
100 Triangles
Connectors. Still not 100% sure how many


So without Further interruptions I'll get to the tutorials

 - TILES - 

Take a square sheet of Paper

I chose white so I can draw on it when it's folded.

Fold one side into the center. 

It doesn't have to be centered, actually I find it easier to assemble later if its not perfectly centered

Aline the top and bottom edges together.

Fold the other side to the side you just folded, line them up as much as possible.

Fold one half down, I usually fold it about 3/4 of the way down.

Makes it easier later.

Fold the opposite side up, to meet the last steps fold

Flipped over, both sides folded

Fold another piece, Identical to what I've folded above.

Both pieces done

Unfold

Align like this. 

Close one of the pieces over the other...

and fold the second piece over it

Now you'll want to Tuck in the other end of the piece/

Like such.

Tile piece completed!

 - TRIANGLES - 

Same size Paper as the Tiles, Again white for Drawings

Make a crease halfway across the paper, don't crease all the way down, only make a little Pinch

Now fold in from the mid point down to a little bit up from the bottom of the paper.

This can be a bit Guess and check.

Fold the other side in the same way. 

it's useful to line the top line up against the edge it folds to.

that usually helps make a line on the bottom better in the next step

fold from one point to the other on the bottom. 

Unfold all the folds temporarily

Fold the bottom up again

fold one of the sides down, including the little bit of the bottom strip.

Repeat on the other side

Now fold one of the points in. align the point with the corner directly across from it

now do the next one, lining up the previous fold with the edge

and the final one, aligning the last 2 folds on the edges

And Completed Triangle piece

 - CONNECTORS - 

Take another paper, same size again, can be any color though.

these will never be seen.

Cut the paper into Quarters.

take one of the quarters

Fold in half

Fold all 4 points into the center.

fold along the first fold we made.

Connectors done!

Here's the 3 pieces. Now, make hundreds of them!

So there's that! time to work on making an assembly tutorial. It's rather simple honestly, I'll assemble one of the Units and show you how they connect, but not remake the whole model, it's gigantic, and I have work.

So anyway, Tomorrow I'm working on a Music Video in Detroit, so i'll probably be quiet for most of it.
