Hello everyone
I've had better mornings but at least I got to see a pretty good musical comedy!
Anyone know how to express oneself?
MOVIE REVIEW: Orenthal, the Musical
Pros:
Just like English Teacher this made me miss theatre. I loved theatre In High school and this just rekindled the spark again.
The movie was very fun. I enjoyed it a lot all the way through. The commonalities of OJ and othello are surprisingly similar. It was fun to see the way the play developed and I'd be very interested to see a whole play version of it. Hint hint.
If the filmmakers are reading this, hi! Hire me!
The cast seemed to gel really well and I enjoyed how they mocked the mockumentary style throughout. I enjoy seeing people purposely messing with the sound guys.
Cons:
Um, not many. Eugene's ass? It had a lot of fun moments and dragged a few times here and there...but not enough to really detract from the movie.
Eugene did seem rather Unlikable for quite a bit of the movie but it was quirky enough that he redeemed himself by the end.
Final Verdict: 86
Was a lot of fun and quirky throughout. Just wish I could see the actual play
So there's that! Now in the theatre waiting for the next movie to start, Trust. Nice and depressing! Woo!
