A Christmas Horror Story
overall the Christmas anthology plays out as 5 unconnected slightly holidayish tales. I don't really know what the real names of the stories are but I'll make those up, because, improv!
1. Krampus.
This one focuses on a family visiting their aunt (i think) and when their overly dickish son knocks over a krampus action figure, Death (from supernatural) becomes krampus and kills people.
yup. That's it, at least theres some Christmas tie in.
2. Nativity?
a set of 3 kids enter a school. they see 'ghosts, or something, two have sex, one gets nailed to a wall. It doesn't feel Christmasy, It was bad.
3. Changeling
a family goes out to get a Christmas tree. The son gets lost, the son gets found. they go home. turns out he's a shape shifter. dad dies. mom has a fight with a toddler, they go back out to the woods. guy comes to help, mom shoots guy, changeling disappears, kid comes back. barely felt like Christmas.
4. Radio DJ
This is just William shatner randomly riffing, and talking about how his weatherman is crazy. makes no real sense, but it ultimately ties in well.
5. North pole of the Dead
Santa and his elves make toys, an elf goes crazy and kills himself, elves all of a sudden are zombies. Santa clause killing zombie elves, easily the best story of them all. cool action and fun kills. but it's best part is the twist ending, revealing Santa is the Crazy weatherman from the DJ storyline. and he's been terrorizing a mall.
Overall I didn't like this movie. it's a cheap and quick little horror movie that feels like a cash grab right as Krampus is coming out.
