Force Majeure
I cannot praise this movie's cinematography enough. This is an absolutely gorgeous movie. The snowscapes and awesome ski resort were beautiful and mesmerizing. The decision to have longer lingering shots was fascinating. I found myself astounded all the way through.
As far as story goes I had a pretty good time in it. I loved the weird sense of humor the movie had. It was an odd mix of serious and comedic tones. I enjoy how European movies can toe that line without breaking themselves.
The actors in the main family were surprisingly powerful, even the two little kids were great. The family worked very well together and bounce off each other very well. I also really liked the friend, the wildling from game of thrones, he brought a good outside point of view for the audience to follow.
This movie also brings up a pretty interesting talking point. What would you do your family? Would you protect them when you're scared, or would you run?
I highly recommend this film
