TCFF 2015 Movie Review 16: Wild Tales

Wild Tales

This one's going to be tough to rate. It's a collection of six short films, each weird and violent. So I'll do 6 quick reviews I don't know the names so I'm making them up

1. Pilot Pasternak
This was a fun intro. A flight full of random people, all interconnected, it's a fun little short. I loved how the various people twisted into the story. It served as a perfect set up to a twisted movie

2. Bad food
This one was the most forgettable of the 6, it was buried by the rest of them. The actual short was fine. It just left no punch with me.

3. Road rage
This one was hilarious. A good cautionary tale against road rage. For some reason it managed to stay the most consistently funny of all the shorts, causing the audience to crack up at each new twist in the story.

Off all of them, it had the best pacing and payoff.

4. Dynamite
This one was fun, i liked how it kept adding new headaches to his story, later after layer. Until he finally cracked.

5. Hit and run
This one was fun but the writing was a bit off, some dialogs made no sense in the context of the story but it was fun to watch.

6. A woman scorned
What the he'll was this one? It went all over the place, then barely had a payoff

I primarily enjoyed the collection of shorts, but for some reason they felt just a little bit Hollow.

Final Verdict: 70
