Movie Review 104: Rush

Hello everyone!

Before we get to the review, a little housekeeping needs to be done!

I'm thinking about migrating this over to Wordpress. I've never used Wordpress, but in your own opinions, what do you think? is it better than Blogspot?

I'm going to ive it a try, see how it works and all that then decide between the two.

I'm also splintering the Western Home here on Blogspot into a few different categories, that way I can focus more on Movie reviews in one and Gaming and other nerdy things in another. just so I have more of a focus.

Anyway, enough of that nonsense, time for the review!

Movie Review: Rush

Pros:
I loved the Cinematography of this movie. every shot was cool and stylistic. the Racing scenes were really well edited and put together. overall the movie had a remarkably good feeling to it all the way around.

Hunt and Lauda were great, individually they were interesting characters but together they were amazing. Chris Hemsworth is quickly becoming an actor to watch. But the relatively unknown Daniel Bruhl stole the show. He was fascinating as lauda and was very much the center of the movie.

The rest of the movie was pretty good. the direction was top notch, the races were tight, the acting was great. and the story played out in a very interesting way, if not a bit predictably.

Cons:
some of the actresses felt out of place. Natalie Dormer is one of my favorite actress. Ok I just think she's gorgeous. and she's basically just in this for a short sex scene. Olivia Wilde pops up for a bit, never really does much in the story, but she's in there for needed sex appeal. basically, this isn't their movies at all.

And as I said the end was a bit predictable. I mean, you see i coming a mile away.

For my last negative I was a bit put off by Lauda's accident. It was fine, but the aftermath just reminded me of Special effects makeup instead of actually feeling like he was injured. just wearing Makeup

Final Verdict: 82
Good acting and races, but a bit too predictable
