Hello!
Welcome back. Time for a quick Movie review, Haven't done one in a while, been too busy in TV Land.
not that channel with all the old sitcoms noone really likes.
Anyway, on with the review!
Pros:
De Niro is a great actor. even though there wasnt much range for him to show in this he was still perfect as the ex mafia boss who's now in witness protection. I had fun with his character, his weird litle quirks and such.
Michelle Pfeiffer was good also, Neurotic and strange but not to the extent that it felt cartoony.
The son was interesting, I liked his assesments of the school and his intelligence. Kinda what I was like in school. except noone beat me up.
The best part of the movie was the humor, oh so dark and twisted. I loved the odd murders they fantasized about throughout the film and i liked that some of them were actually real, like the plumber and the grocery store. It had a very twisted sense of humor which is always fun to see, even if I feel a little insane for admitting.
Cons:
Diana Agron was Quinn, she has very little range. she's Beautiful, dont get me wrong but she plays the exact same character yet again, and seeing quinn with a gun was kinda funny. that beng said the mother and daughter were perfectly cast.
Also much like Hitgirl's 'Mean Girls' storyline in Kickass 2, I didnt like Quinn's 'budding romance' storyline, it gave her something to do but it was almost too cliche, and ultimately didnt lead anywhere, leading it to
Moving on... I wish Tommy Lee Jones had more to do, he's a brilliant actor and its sad to see him in such miniscule roles nowadays.
And finally, the ending was a little abrupt and too orderly, I wont spoil anything but it was just too neat and tied up for a movie with such sloppy and ADD characters.
Final Verdict: 81
I really enjoyed the film, and it had a great sense of humor, but Quinn was Quinn again
So there's that, Really busy weekend coming up so feel free to search through the hundreds of random posts I have on here!
