First off I think this was inspired by one of the short stories I. woody Allen's 'To Rome With Love' it had the same basic concept it just went farther with it. In the credits there was something that seemed to thank something to do with Rome

MOVIE REVIEW: Superstar
Pros:
Well it went a lot farther than I thought it would. But there's a line later in the movie, 'let this loser rot in a corner, why do we care?" That line along made me gain a lot of respect for the movie. That line sums up my thoughts about Zimmerman, the aurora gunner guy, the kardashians, Paris Hilton, Amanda Bynes and every other moron we talk about for years. Why do we care?
Ok moving on, the acting by the main character was great, you truly felt frustrated by his surroundings. He always had a clueless look on his face and he did a good job of bottling up the rage.
Cons:
It felt very long and slow. Almost like a short that was blown up into a feature...oh right
The story unraveled very slowly. And never really gives us a believable reason for him being a star, like the kardashians.
The whole tranny storyline just felt out of nowhere and randomly added in there to create tension for the downfall, even though the whole movie just started randomly and ended randomly.
Comparisons:
It felt very much like a stab at American culture, we fixate on useless and pathetic people for virtually no reason. They can be mentally challenged wannabe child models to pregnant teens who make sex tapes or a mother who apparently kills her daughter. We fixate on it and idolize them and they become like gods. Let them waste away. No one will care.
Final verdict: 67
Decent idea and starts debates but ultimately too random and drawn out to pack a punch
Now I'm in the theatre for Kon Tiki! Til' it be later
