TCFF Movie Review 23: Trust

Hiya!

How R U?!?!?

Yeah I can't do that. That kind of typing hurts my brainstem

First off I'll start by saying I have a very close friend that I knew solely through the Internet. Turns out she's a real girl and not a 35 year old guy. So that's awesome! Not saying that there's anything like the movie going on though

MOVIE REVIEW: Trust

Pros:
Right off the bat I have to say that Liana Liberato was amazing. She could have carried this solely by herself. That being said she had help by Clive Owen in his best acting job I have ever see from him. The two of them were astounding. Especially as the movie gets darker.

I'm amazed that the movie was directed by Ross Gellar. To see  him take such a dark and depressing story and make an amazing movie out of it was great.

The way the movie unfolded was rather unexpected. I was expecting the rape to be the ending but it was rather early in the movie. Well done

Cons:
Not really a con but the movie is depressing. It killed the somewhat good mood I was in after Orenthal. All the way through the movie just got more and more depressing. But unlike Sunlight junior I actually found myself caring about the  characters

Comparisons:
Compliance. The first half reminded me of Compliance. The guy convincing the girl to go against her better judgement and ultimately humiliating her in a horrible way.

I 'enjoyed' this movie much more than Compliance. As much as I can enjoy a movie about getting raped by someone you thought you knew.

Final Verdict: 90
The acting is amazing, and the subject matter hits close to home having many random online friends. But the movie is very hard to watch.

So that's that. Next up is Austenland, only 2 movies left

TTYL LOL!!!
