Good evening everyone, or morning to some
another late update, just gonna get this review done and get some sleep before my big 6 Movie day tomorrow!
MOVIE REVIEW: Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow?
Pros:
Very fun, i'm not really sure what it is, but i love asian cinema. the comedies are very fun to watch without devolving into dumb slapstick humor. they keep their jokes high-brow enough to keep it fun without just going for the gross out gag. there wasnt a single gross out moment in the whole film. it was fun and light throughout most of the film.
one the other hand it did have some very deep and dark moments, particularly the relationship between the main husband and wife. the movie somehow juggled those depressing scenes with the fun scenes.
the 'magical realism' scenes were fun. the man floating away with the umbrella and the karaoke scenes were fun and the husband floating into the sky was cool, even though i could predict the shot because of the staging. the scenes gave a kind of lightheartedness to the movie that kept it fun.
Cons:
not a whole lot, it had some frustrating scenes but overall it was very fun to watch. the sister was frustrating at times.
the gay subject matter may offend some of you, but if that offends you, just dont see it, and get a life.
Writing:
the writing was fun and quick paced. i feel like some of it got lost in translation but it was fun throughout the movie.
Final Verdict: 82
lots of fun and goes by fast, the gay storylines might be an issue for more uptight conservatives.
So that's that, now time for sleep, tomorrow is Dancing queen, Sunlight jr, trust me, dragon, we're the millers, and history of future folk. should be a mostly fun day!
