Hello everyone!
This is my First attempt at doing an Origami Tutorial, it'll be very rough, but just try to keep with me.
I apologize for the paper changing color half way through the Build, I just figured Red and white would be easier to see lines on than the Black I started with
If you Don't know Origami terminology, Here's a quick cheat sheet.
Valley fold: (yellow Lines) a Valley fold is when you make a V out of the paper. the fold will be at the bottom and the outside edges will be at the top
Mountain Fold: (Blue Lines) the opposite of the Valley fold, you're making a mountain, or an A. the fold at the top and edges at the bottom.
these will get easier to understand as the tutorial goes on

Origami Tutorial 1: The Crane
My Paper:
Side A (for Now)
chose a simple black piece of paper
Side B (for now)
Side B for now is a Grayish color.
Step 1:
Start with Side b facing up, Whatever side you called Side A will end up being the color of your crane.
Valley Fold in half from top to bottom
(at this point I realized the issue of having Black paper)
Unfold
Step 2:
Valley fold Left to right (or right to left, whichever you prefer)
Then unfold, you'll Have 4 squares separated by Valley Folds
Step 3:
Mountain Fold diagonally
Do a second mountain fold going the other direction so you have an X on the page
Step 4:
now that all the set up folds are done, let's fold the actual crane.
first, poke the center so the center is against the table, or lap-desk, or floor, or laptop keyboard, and the corners of the page are sticking up.
now what you'll want to do is bring ever corner together, like below
I know, it's a little hard to see, that's what i get for using MS Paint
so anyway, fold those all down and you'll end up with this...
wow...a little black square....
TIME OUT!
let's change colors shall we? you don't have to change, but the Black paper just isn't working
There...a nice pretty Red paper, Hopefully it'll stand out a little more, in addition to the crappy Black paper, the sun was going down so I kept having to change the F top on the camera. I need lights.
TIME IN!
Step 5:
Start with the open ends facing towards you.
now Valley fold the Bottom right edge to the center line (the center line was created when we mountain folded int eh beginning of the model.
then repeat the same process with the bottom left
Step 6:
Flip the model over and repeat both folds from step 5, making sure that the open ends are facing towards you
and you'll get this. the next step is a bit tricky to describe, so I'll try my best
Step 7:
Fold the top triangle down over the two folds you just made, Crease, then unfold. this will give you the fold line for the rest of this step.
Next unfold the two folds at the bottom.
from here, Valley fold on the line you just folded. bringing the bottom point all the way up, the sides will fall in and you'll have a Sims-Like diamond.
the fold looks like his while in process
and end like this.
it's an easy fold, but it's a pain to describe. Now flip over the paper!
from here, repeat the folds above. you'll end up with a perfect looking diamond!
Step 8:
Now that you have the Diamond, you'll want to start this step with the two detached ends facing you.
Now fold the bottom left edge to the center line.
and repeat on the other side
now that those two are done, flip it over, and repeat the same two folds, keeping the separated points facing you.
Step 9:
step 9 is a little tricky also, you have to Inside Reverse fold the 'Separated points' up into the body.
see how the fold reverses in on itself. it's tough to describe but rather simple when you know what you're doing. which you should understand after making a few cranes.
from here to the same fold on the other side.
Only 2 steps left!
Step 10:
a quick little step, just for one of the points down to make a head. reversing the fold makes the best look.
that's it!
now all that's left is to open up the model!
Step 11:
time to open it, very carefully grab both wings and pull apart, the center body will form automatically into a semi round shape.
And there you have it! the origami crane!
how many of you were able to follow along? comment with a picture of your completed model.
If you are having trouble on any of the steps let me know, i can walk you through with even better detail.
and if you'd like to see more origami tutorials like this, but better set up, with better lighting, and paper choices, let me know! I'll be doing a few more of these in the next few weeks,
