Hello again internet peoples!

here I paused expecting an answer, hah, silly me.

- Warning - Some Spoilers ahead -
MOVIE REVIEW: The Way, Way Back
Pros:
Oh where do i start? I loved this movie. I don't say that often about these kinds of movies, no special effects, no action scenes, not hot steamy sex scenes, and no musical numbers. This is just a very well written Character Dramedy.
The acting by all of the cast was great, Liam James was frustrating as Duncan but he was perfect as the character, nice frustrating character. Toni Colette was great as Duncan's mom. so much of her performance was done through facial expressions instead of dialogue. the scene where Duncan finally confronts her was perfect. both actors reacted perfectly.
Allison Janney was cool as the perpetually tipsy neighbor. her first scene was a whirlwind of random dialogue that flowed perfectly as they introduced each of the characters. Annasophia Robb continues to impress me as an actress. not only has she become a really cute girl she's really matured in her roles.
Sam Rockwell is awesome, basically just playing the man-child he always plays but his character fit well with the antisocial Duncan.
Steve carrel played an asshole, nothing more to say about that. and his daughter was a bitch.
anyway, characters and acting were great. even better was the fact that the movie actively avoided cliche's. they coulda went the dark route, making the water Wizz story-line become an issue, or make Steve Carell a violent asshole, but they didn't. they didn't go Cliche' teen romance between Duncan and Annasophia Robb. other than Duncan no character has a huge revelation and turnaround. and Duncan's transformation didn't end up going too far. it was just right!
Cons:
I really cant think of any.....Movie did not contain lap-dance? The movie was practically perfect. Very little I had a problem with at all.
Writing:
The writing was spot on, every character felt distinct and different. but not so different to the point where they felt like caricatures. The way the movie unfolded was very well made. It's wholly believable that a quiet guy would want to explore, I know i would. Though if a really pretty girl my age started talking to me, I'd talk back...I might be more talkative tho.
The revelation of the 'affair' was well done. It was mostly through looks and muffled fights in the other room.
Final Verdict: 94
Highest Rating yet!...I think....anyway, I loved this movie. it is easily one of my favorites of the year. This may seem like a short review but well, I'm not tearing it apart so I really don't have anything but praise for it....
