Well, sometimes horror movies just suck.
that being said i did just waste a couple hours on this godawful movie so maybe im the dumb one. anyway, let the ribbing begin, and not in a good way
this movie used to be called Freakdog....makes more sense to me....anyway, heres a movie about mclovin as a super hero...or not
MOVIE REVIEW: Red Mist
Pros:
ill be honest, theres very little good in this movie. i guess Ariane Kebbel was decent? and even that isnt saying much...its about as B movie horrory as you can get
Cons:
Writing. it feels like a kid decided to write something after seeing the term 'out of body experience' then failed to bother doing much else. basically, kid gets bullied, goes into a coma, then is given a wonder drug, then kills people. thats the whole story. all of the acting felt really forced and novice. the effects were obviously very low budget. you were supposed to feel bad when the coma boy kills the victims, but i pretty much just went, 'everyones gonna die but Kebbel' and i was right.
no tension at all, it failed as a horror movie. i knew exactly who was gonna die at what time.
whore, fool, jock, scholar, and virgin....maybe
also, i dont know if it was Netflix fucking it up but this was shot in a really weird aspect ratio, not quite 4x3 but almost. it was a little annoying.
Writing:
this is the epitome of lazy writing, and i ought to know, im as lay as they come. but i could have put some kind of interesting twist in this. and dont get me started on the dialogue, atrocious.
Final Verdict: 20
its about as lame as you can go before hitting Uwe Boll
