it occurs to me i haven't done a good Cosplay post in quite a long time. so i figured i'd update you on what im doing for that really quick.
well, first off im doing various armor paint tests for my Isaac cosplay, i cut some extra little blocks out and painted and primed them, they turned out ok, im a little unhappy with the actual paint colors so im gonna try again with a slightly different color.
i made a temporary gauntlet for my right arm, its nothing special just a foam piece cut out with some added pieces on top, looks cool but isn't quite the quality i want, maybe i'll get those pieces cut in PVC as well, with the visor pieces and melt them the same way? maybe? we'll see how that goes.
otherwise it's been pretty dead on the cosplay front, I've been pondering other costumes i can make alongside Isaac. as either a backup or an alternate if i don't finish Isaac in time or im not pleased with how it turns out. i'll list them off.
Nicholas Angel:
I have most of the pieces, Found some cool aviator glasses randomly when i went disc golfing the other day. the flack jacket he wears i can buy off a friend for pretty cheap. i have the Pistols. black pants, or blue, either have them or a cheap salvation army run. the belt i can probably find somewhere with the holsters. and the white shirt with epaulets is a salvation army run, might just collect them so i have them in my closet, just for the hell of it. otherwise i'll color my hair for it, and shave.
Shaun:
Have the costume all done, i'd have to dye my hair and do a goatee, easy peasy.
Dr Horrible:
I've done this 3 times now, it's good, but it could be better. i ordered a Howie Jacket online, it should be coming soon. I'm going to soak my Welding gloves in bleach to get the Whiteness i want. the Goggles are a pain. i have to find a new pair and spray them with something that works on rubber, not easy to find. and i want new boots, the ones i have aren't up to snuff. i'll hand sew the Dr. Horrible crest on the jacket when i get it.
Prince Nuada:
Still my number one cosplay, but it's tough. there are a lot of pieces and i am horrible at stitching, if anyone out there reads this and would like to help, i'd be very grateful. other than that i'd have quite a bit of makeup work to do, and I'm sure i can figure that out. His lance would be a fun thing to make and i'd make it super complex, just because. I'd make the Royal crown too. not sure what i'd make it out of yet. wig is easy, and i really want to buy contacts, i found some Nuala contacts online, very pricey but oh so awesome.
Jaeger Pilot:
I loved Pacific Rim and i'd love to be able to make a Jaeger pilot pair. someone similar build to me and willing to drift with me. preferably a girl...but, well that's just me. anyway the suit would be relatively easy, i've been following a blog named 'when my brain leaks, the drops drip here' it's full of all sorts of awesome costume builds and stuff like that, check it out if you wanna see what i mean.

anyway the only part im really worried about is the mask, rounded clear plastic is tough to make and that kinda worries me. but i think it could be really cool to make.
Roronoa Zoro:
This one seems pretty easy to be honest, a green haramaki, a white button up tshirt, a dark dark green pair of pants, dark dark green handkerchief, and a pair of boots. otherwise the 3 earrings are easy, and then there's the issue of the swords. i know i can easily just get 3 swords, but in my head i need 1 white one, and i'd need to recreate his other two, both are basically black, but i love his newest one that's black bladed with a reddish cutting edge. it's awesome, and i'd want to replicate the hilt. i might actually pursue making the swords out of wood, im not sure. it's one i know i can pull together rather quickly is i need to. oh, and green hair...'fookin green hair'
Sanji:
again rather simple, Black chefs coat, a wig, a cigarette, and golden buttons, easy peasy. add some curled eyebrows and boom, Sanji
Kroenen:
a new one. i honestly forgot all about him till i saw a picture of his mask on a blog. it sparked my old idea of making the Nazi Kroenen costume. basically the awesome Gasmask type mask, a Nazi trenchcoat, black shirt and pants, a nazi hat, two retractable blades in my sleeves, and gloves. i mean it'd be hot as balls but i think it'd be a really simple costume to buy pieces for, the most pricey and difficult item to find is logically the trenchcoat.
he also has a second costume that's just a blue/grey body suit, his mask, and some gearlike panels on him, but the Nazi outfit is so much cooler.
- edit - Looking at his Nazi outfit again, he has a whole second layer coat on insie the trench coat, god, that'd be tough, but warm...almost too warm
Soldier with 3d Movement Gear:
I'm not really sure what to call it, but its from Attack on Titan, i know, so original.
I've found a bunch of cool plans on how to make the 3DMG so i wanna do it, the jacket would have to be ordered and the rest would be simple.
Gideon Graves:
I have all of the costume except the White Suit coat, if i can get that i'd be golden, just need to make a pixel sword. something that looks like its made of pixels when i swing it. otherwise a wig and Gideon pin is all i need.
Todd Ingram:
white shirt, white pants, blonde hair, white contacts, and arm bands, no problem. paint a 3, golden.
now some of you might be thinking i need to bulk up for some of these, Nuada, Zoro, and Ingram mostly...yeah i do, i should work out. balls.....
